Newborn sessions are part lifestyle and part baby portrait.  Lifestyle newborn sessions take place at-home and concentrate on the love and connection that the family already have for this new baby.  I like to capture special moments with each family member as well as the family together. I will also capture baby alone and while I'll pose the baby a little, I keep it very natural and baby lead posing...

Zeke {@ 3 months}

Meet Zeke!  How cute are his little features?  I'm swooning over his eyelashes!  

Zeke spent 3 months in the NICU and is almost 5 lbs now.  He might be little, but he is really strong :)  We took pictures in between oxygen treatments…he was such a trooper!

There isn't just one way that I do newborn sessions.  Sometimes we start with portrait pictures of the baby, sometimes we start with lifestyle pictures or nursery shots…it just depends.  Or as in this case we worked around dad's lunch break :)
